waiting in the parking lot

After twenty min. Trying to look for the car, were now standing next to it because it's gridlocked.

Ok now were moving but still.

Anyway, it was total chaos you won't believe. I don't think I can go to another rally unless it was organized. This is my first rally and hopefully not the last.

When we were standing in line when the back of the line met us. Then they all blended in with us and totally pissed off everyone. When we got in it around 6:30ish, they checked our bags and totally ransacked my bag. After running around levels, we made it in club level where the bar is behind us. Our seats were the last row viewing obama from the backside. A couple of people came out including former governer Bob Grahem. Joe Biden made a 10 min speech following a 30 min speech from the man himself. The place totally lit up when he came out. After the speech, we left and lost the car. We waited about a half hour after the fact and high tailed it out.

Did you know that his supporters are dumb driving wise? Holy hell.

Oh and another thing. I disagreed with obama on one thing: making hybrid cars in america and not over seas. The only way you can get american hybrids cars is asking Japan and Toyota to borrow their stuff. I like my import and plan to keep it that way!

..:edit:..

Dad and I was talking about Daytona and how that was peaches compared to this. There was over 100,000 people in Daytona Beach at a race track and decent parking with a good escape route. Dad says he will take Daytona over today any day. I told him lets go back next year and gave me a look of 'I don't think so'.

Forgot to metion that the audio sucked and was hard to hear him at times.

If you watched his 30 min. ad time on a couple of major news networks, the last three minutes was him at the arena. We were sitting behind the flag so I couldn't see my ass anywhere on TV haha

at the door

We are ready to walk into the bank atlantic center. It is so chaotic it isn't funny. Very unorganized. So many people turned out here just to support him. I'm sitting somewhere in the upper 300s by club. I'm sitting behind obama with a good view of his teleprompter. Good seats are still here in the upper 400s. Time to take pics now :)

Waiting at the Obama rally

I'm standing in the longest line outside Bank Atlantic center. There is two lines. One with tickets and the other line on the other side of the arena (where I am in) where we are standing deep. I hope we will get in even if we are in the 400s. Doors open at 4:30. We'll see if dad and I get in.

Woohoo we're getting Speed HD!

It very Comcastic of them to bring me Speed HD just three races until the season ends! Speed launched their HD channel during speedweeks this year and after bitching to Comcast when we are going to get it, we get it when the season is almost over! It's on channel 450 starting the 29th if anyone wants to know.

The madness of Dega

If Junior ever had a ruff day, today would be one of them. It all started in first practice when he blew an engine. Then, nine minutes into the second practice, his right rear tire blows up taking the whole back end and part of right side of the car. Luckily, I'm still there but scared shitless haha.

In political news...

A tax break for NASCAR racetracks and other motor-sports facilities is among the "sweeteners" tucked inside a 450-page financial-services bailout bill to make the package more palatable to lawmakers.

The Senate-passed bill includes an array of so-called "tax extenders." One extends for two years a tax policy that had been allowed to expire in December that lets motor-sports facilities be treated the same as amusement parks and other entertainment complexes for tax purposes.

That allowed them to write off their capital investments over a seven-year period. The motor sports industry feared that without a specific legal clarification, motor sports facilities would be required to depreciate their capital over 15 years or longer because of a recent Internal Revenue Service inquiry into the matter. That would make repaved tracks and new concession stands more expensive in the short term.

Um... yeah. I thought this was a bailout for banks? I didn't know my money was invested in NASCAR and they were in trouble? Oh wait. My money is invested in Junior. But still, why bail them out? Damn republicans making their "redneck" friends richer. I hope my tax money going to NASCAR gives out free tickets thanking us for our loyal donation.
