Day 3: Stalling

Jesus, 'bout when this hurricane hits, I'm going to be old and gray! It's just sitting on the Bahamas causing havoc and we're over here just waiting and waiting for this thing. We got some rain squalls that lasts only 5 min. and just leaves. We cannot go over to the beach because the police are chasing people from crossing the bridges. I would love just to see her wrath and take some pictures. Damn. We lost electricity before the hurricane hits. I was in the bathroom finishing my business and the lights flickered out and then they were out around 2pm. I called FPL and they said about 3,800 people in my area don't have electricity. We just sat outside, got the radio out and listened to 87.7 FM NBC 6 news. We were listening to it and they were reporting from Deerfield Beach [near me] and they were just getting some squalls and heading to me. I can tell because the skies turned blue, the temperature went down and the winds started to come up. But it only rained for about 10 min. and then it was sunny. It's trend for the whole day. I asked Dad if he wanted to go out and see what's up with the electric. FPL was on the corner fixing the problem and soon to be up and running. I noticed which areas had electric and some not. We went on the road to see if there was anymore FPL trucks and noticed no one was on the road. Only a couple but not it's usual busy Friday afternoon of people coming home from work. Chevron had no more gas but Shell did. The Lexus and Toyota dealers moved their cars [yesterday they were there] and Ford moved all of their 2003-2005 Ford F-150 trucks. Where did they put them, I have no clue but it was about a couple of acres of just trucks. Everyone boarded up even making some pictures on their wood. The electric came back around 4:10pm and back to normal.

Off to watch the rest of qualifying since I cannot watch the races due to the Hurricane Frances coverage. If only it was showing on TNT not NBC.

Added a "Blog" area with some reading worthy blogs.
