I remembered to set up the VCR to record the 60 Minutes interview last night but one problem surfaced: the VCR died. It wouldn't come on, and the tape was in there could of been eaten up! I saved the tape [The Matrix] but the VCR is now dead. That VCR is about the same age as me maybe younger. It's time for another one.
I'm thinking of buying a DVD recorder for a great price [$249-$300] but that can be an x-mas gift. I asked Mom should we go to Wal-Mart and pick up a cheap VCR or look at some DVD recorders. We went to Circuit City to see what they had. Mom pointed out a DVD-VCR combo to buy. I came up with an idea that we can put it in the living room so we can watch DVDs. [the other DVD player is in my room] We bought it for a great price at $109.99. When I got it home, set up was only 10 min. but I had to get the instruction manual because I didn't know why it wasn't working right. The reason was the cable line were in different plugs. A simple switch, and I saw a blue screen that said "Zenith". I guess that means it works. I played Top Gun and worked. Tried the VCR and works too.
I taped or so I thought of 60 Minutes. I guess the recording is different from the other VCR. You have to set the channel on the VCR to record. When I hit playback, it was for a Tyra Banks model show on UPN. It didn't record the show! I didn't get mad about because I saw it but would like to have it in the ever growing Junior collection.
The show discussed his love life and how women he dates try to steer the boat when he's the driver. I guess he needs to pick and choose a woman who can accept he toys and his job. He's not going to change for anyone and that's why I wuv him as a driver and a person. He also discussed the article I posted previously where they showed the footage of the accident [looks like someone was pulling him out] and even his father's crash at Daytona back in 1998. I cannot believe they showed it. Hurts to see it. They showed his house, his SIM set-up [way cool, must check out his site!] and the go-cart track in his back yard. He even has a book "Dating for Dummies" in his bathroom. [He is a shy guy] But they ended the segment suddenly. Nothing that made you feel it was over just a last line Junior said and poof to commercial. They taped in Daytona back in July. Must of been earlier in the week cause I didn't see any of that when I was there. Overall, very nice interview.
Tomorrow is Mom's b-day. I'm going to get her a cake, flowers and Chinese food for lunch. She wants to have Mickey D's cause of their new chicken menu. It looks yummy but I dunno.
