I wasn't home today to watch the Hendrick press conference on Speed Channel but I did tape it. After Martin put down a hot lap in his Busch car, [starts 2nd on Saturday] I decided to watch the tape. The emotion in the room was hard. They all looked like shit because they lost their closest friends and almost family on Sunday. Brian Vickers was best friends with Ricky Hendrick. His hat was hung low, the bill covering his blue eyes which were filled with tears and his head hung low. He spoke briefly and sat there holding back. I wanted to fly to Atlanta and give him the biggest hug and say 'Everything will be OK' but it won't.

Martin will qualify 12th to attempt to start his official NEXTEL Cup race. No rain in the area and I will hope and pray he will make it. Scratch that. He is going to make it.
Tomorrow, I'll be going to the Pier to see Joey's band play. I'm going to ask Louis if he wants to go to Homestead for the Busch race. *crosses fingers*
