I didn't go to the Kerry rally since Dad didn't want to go. I didn't want to go by myself so we opted for Bass Pro Shops in Dania Beach. First off, that store is so cool with tons of fishing crap. The fish tank in the middle of the store was cool. I wish I can catch those beauties. We bought $88 and change worth of clothes. I bought a Bass Pro Shops trucker hat for $2.95, [cheap, yo] a Martin shirt for me [a big medium], Louis a Jeff Gordon shirt, Dad a Dale Jr. shirt, a #8 snowman ornament, a fishing shirt for Dad and a lighthouse shirt for Mom. I never bought so much racing stuff in one store before. Even when I was at the track, I only killed about under $50 worth of stuff.
Had an interesting talk with Dad about my debate on why he should go with me to the rally. I told him that we never do anything fun together. I wanted to go to a Dolphins game [last year not this year] but he said "I won't enjoy myself". I want to go to concerts and he says "I won't enjoy myself". I wanna go to a race with him and he complains about the money and that he won't enjoy himself. He won't know unless he has experienced it before! He never been to a race and when I kept calling him at the track, I showed my love for what I was seeing and enjoying. [and the fact that I had no idea what was going on with the weather] I want all of us to go to a race and enjoy it. We talked about Homestead again and asked for ticket prices. I said they are $50 something or so a ticket for the lower half and higher as you go up in the stands. I don't know how far that conversation will go because we had a mirror conversation after I went to Daytona and just fed off energy that I got from it. I wanna go to a race with Dad. Is that hard to do?
