I met Dale Jarrett

My adventurous day was pretty good. I went on I-95 for the first time in my driving history and still alive. I was driving more out of my rear view mirror then looking forward. I felt like I was racing at Talladega where 90% of driving is through your mirrors and not your windshield. Got up to 70 mph with the traffic. Got toward downtown and parked in the parking garage and walked to the Riverfront. Last year, we parked in the same area but on the street.

We wondered around for a bit and got tons of free stuff. I got a Nextel cup chase shirt, a chase poster, a Matt Kenseth poster, a complete Ford drivers in NASACR poster, Sharpies, pens, and some breast cancer awareness stuff. I donated a $1 for Dale Jarrett's breast cancer thing [Race for a Cure] and I got a pin. I didn't see any of the show cars because I wanted to take a picture of Elliott Sadler's back end of the car because that M&M dude screaming is funny. I got the rest of them last year. Plus, no haulers either. I wanted to buy some stuff but I can't since no haulers. Grrr.

I checked out the Ford Five Hundred car on display. The interior looks to plastic-y. The back doors looked very cheap. It was all black and can pose for white dirt to build up over time. I'm not considering Dad to buy it do to the cheapness.

While we waited for Dale Jarrett's wrist bands, Ricky Rudd was coming by to go to the stage. Everyone was "Hi Ricky!" or "Woohoo Ricky". I said "Hi Ricky!" and he said "Hi" back with a wave. Awesome!

When DJ came, we were second and third in line. He prolly thought we were losers because Mom couldn't take the picture fast enough. Ugh. She was bitching in line cause he was just a tad bit late. That's why I don't have Elliott Sadler's autograph nor news from the Q&A session. She wanted to go home. Imagine if I took her to Daytona in July. Oh my God she will drive us insane because of all the walking and hiking. Blah.

As we were leaving, some monster truck driver was signing so I was like 'What the hell' I got his autograph and my picture taken from the Sun-Sentinel. Check it out tomorrow and see me in the paper!

In job related news...

Tara called me while I was waiting in-line for DJ. When I got home, they called at 2:44 pm. I left the house around 2:10pm. She said to come to the store to fill out paperwork and stuff. I go to orientation on Saturday at 9am and leave around 3pm. I'm taping the Busch race cause I know i'll be home when it ends. I asked her if it's a full time or part time and she said part time. I don't care as long as I have a job!
