I don't know if today is considered a good day or what but I'm tired. I worked from 11am to 10pm and I'm pooped. We're short cashiers today because two late people called in sick today. Tara was pissed like hell about it too. I told her I'm willing to stay but since I'm capped to 35 hours, I can't. Well, that all changed. Tara fought with Mr. Barton [manager] about me going full time now and after all said and done, I'm full time! Everyone in the front office was happy cause now they can rely on me being there and stuff.

The day started off funny when I was going to punch in for work. Alan, one of our baggers, was going to punch out for lunch at 11am but it was 10:59 am. SO he waited. He started to push all the buttons on the time clock to fool around. Then, he hit the machine to where he broke it! Not literally but Crystal and I punched in 2 minutes late because of it. But man we were laughing our asses off in the wine area.

In racing news...

I don't know who won the Busch race from Mexico nor the Indy race from Homestead today. I'm currently watching the Busch race now at lap 32 of 80. Martin is currently leading. Go Martin!!

Homestead is thinking of putting up lights for the chase weekend in November. I don't think it's s great idea to have it under the lights. Dolphins sucks so we really won't miss out on the game and would throw off the beautiful scenery of the Sunshine State.

Martin won Mexico!!! Sadly, the DVR cut if off when he just took the checkers so I didn't hear what he had to say about the win. I'm recording the replay again and listen to his victory speech.

In past posts, didn't I say something that he must have some secret road racing skills if he wasn't going to test with other DEI drivers? Well, he has them and showed them off proudly. Proud of ya and hopefully, I’ll see you in Daytona!

I just started to watch the Indy race and prolly finish watching it tomorrow. Go Sam Hornish, Jr.! [what's up with these Junior's? It's a good trend, though]

Found a quote on the pit board that Martin said:

Reporters asked Busch Series champion Martin Truex Jr. in Daytona Beach if he was worried about being kidnapped [in Mexico].

"No," Truex said emphatically. "I don't think anybody would want to kidnap me. What would they use me for?"

I guess today was the best day after all.
