Oh my god what a race! It all started out when Shrub went high and ran into Kasey and in the wall. The back end got some air and jumped pretty high. A lot of damage to the point the right rear tire wasn't touching the ground. Ouch. Well, Kasey found Shrub and wrecked him. [just a scratch tho, nothing happened] During the interview about incident #2 [the scratch], Kasey said yeah it was payback because when Dale Jarrett got back at Ryan Newman back at Bristol when he took DJ out said that's the way to do it. "If people are going to run you over for no reason and think they are going to get away with it, and you should go out there and ruin their day too."
The other one I didn't like but the after affect was awesome. From my eyes, Robby Gordon didn't clear Mickey and Mickey spun him out during a caution that came out for a spin they passed already. Robby backed his car up to hit Mickey on the right side and missed but almost getting Tony Stewart [big no no cause he's a chaser] but Tony stopped short. Robby gets out of the car with helmet in hand and whacks Mickey's car. [Mickey ducked according to in-car camera which was funny] He told the NASCAR official that it was bullshit [reading lips] and got in the SUV. During the interview with Robby he said "Everyone things Mickey is a good guy but he isn't and the caution was out and wrecked me and he's a piece of SHIT." hahahaha I love it. That's a 25 point word, cause Junior said it at Dega.
They interviewed Mickey from the car and said that he stood his ground and he kept coming up. He said "...He drives like he's in the desert or something." And they mentioned the ducking but the best part was this line when BP said that Robby said it was his fault: "Well, It's half my fault I agreed to come out here and raced with him." Priceless, yo.
Ah to be a fly on the wall at the NASCAR trailer...
Anyway, Junior got a top 5 with Tony Jr. back on the box! Woohoo! It's so good to be back!
Found a couple of good one liner's from the race today
"I figured he was going to do something, I should have been smarter than that pulling on the outside," Busch said. "I wasn't expecting NASCAR's poster child to do that. He probably won't even get a fine or anything like that."
From JR's race report
The race was red-flagged on lap 198 to clean substantial debris from the track following a bizarre incident between Robby Gordon and DEI teammate Michael Waltrip.
Tony Jr.: “NASCAR is gonna red-flag the race cuz Robby Gordon wanted to talk to Michael.”
