It works!

*Does happy dance* :)

Sorry for not posting as much. Nothing really much to say except it's the off season and nothing to do! Christmas was very good. I got my DVD recorder, [a story I need to tell about it later on] three pairs of jeans and a shirt, earrings, a Seiko Coutura watch, a Junior snowglobe, [when I shake it, he wins everyday with the confetti coming down. Looks like the 500 in Victory Lane] a Junior little bear for the car, a nice black jacket when it's mad cold, my Dooney and Burke wallet, CD's: Madonna's Confessions on a dance floor, Disturbed's Ten thousands fists and Nickelback's All the right reasons.

I got Dad his Donna Summer's Live and More CD and three tickets to her concert at the Bank Atlantic center on Feb. 18. Mom's Kitchen Aid mixer in pink, a Donney and Burke denim purse, a cross necklace, clothes, a breadmaker, a mini chopper, new knife set. Pretty much a new kitchen lol.

OK now on to my DVD recorder story. I hooked it up Monday night, put in a blank disc and try to record stuff from my hard drive to the recorder. I played Super Speedway and hit record. After 45 minutes passed, I hit stop, hit play and nothing happens. Next day I call Comcast because I was having problems with VOD while I was in the middle of watching Phantom of the Opera. While I had the guy on the phone, I ask him for some help on how to record off the DVR to the recorder. He says it's not possible because he tried it before. He puts me on hold and speaks to a real tech guy and he says yes it's possible. He gives me the number to Samsung [the people who made the recorder] and the woman answered and then transferred me to someone else cause she couldn't really help me. The next idiot picks up and explains me how to hook it up. I loose his half of the time cause he's peaking gibberish to me. I don't speak audio. I speak computer and racing. After 30 minutes with him, he gives me a ticket number and transfer me to someone else. When I was on hold for 45 minutes waiting for someone else to come on, I ask Dad for a splitter. Since the other dude said I needed a cable out and there was no cable out on the DVR, I put two and two together [and got 4!] and hooked it up. I explained everything and the guy said you have it right. I ask him, how to I get my guide back? He tells me to hit the input button on the remote and voila! I have my guide back with my picture and everything. A few minutes ago, I played Super Speedway again and it recorded! Now, all the racing needs to go to DVD. I have 3 races to burn. It'll help me relive all the Daytona glory from the past two years.

Wow that was long.

In other racing news...

Since the Donna Summer concert in on Feb. 18, the next day is the Daytona 500. I took that weekend off and going to Joey's for his Daytona party. Missed it last year but I'll be there this year!
