Don't see it.
Very corny.
2 out of 4 stars.
It was OK. You can tell it was a spoof on NASCAR and stuff but it didn't live up to it's hype. Junior was in the movie asking him for his autograph, Jamie Mac had a speaking role, I spotted Kerry Earnhardt (Dale Sr's 1st son) and MY CAR! No lie. I saw my Oldsmobile Cutlass at the end of the movie. It was beige like mine, I mean to a T like mine. You'll see it like 4 times. Um, what else? Oh the spoof of the other driver, a gay French guy played by Ali G from Formula uh [pronounced one with a French accent] He was weird as hell. Weird part was when this movie was being made, after it was finish, Ganassi made an announcement that Juan Pablo Montoya was joining NASCAR [he's not gay but friends with Gordo] so that was a funny spoof. Him breaking his arm and in a slump for an hour was stupid. I became distracted with that and wanted to see something to do with Talladega. You could see it was made in NC more than AL and some of the race footage was from last year. Like racing footage from the Coke 600. I could tell it was that race cause of Kasey's blue Mopar car. Special effects were good. Funny part was during the NBC telecast, the whole field got wrecked and was down to two [Ricky Bobby and the French guy] and they start flipping in the front stretch and Bill Webber goes "Great time to go to a commercial break" and it cuts into an Applebee's. I was laughing my ass off on that one. Hey, NBC is nothing but commercials, so, they come back and they're sill flipping in the air.
Did you know that popcorn costs $4.25 and I asked the guy if I get another bag [it was a Talladega nights one] and he said I had to pay $4.25 for it. WHAT?! I told him just get me the small one with popcorn in it. What the hell? Rip off, yo.
During the previews, Robin Williams has an awesome movie coming out. It's about him making jokes about politics and someone asks him to run for pres and he does! Awesome one liners during the previews. Gotta see that for sure.
