... Is The Killers new x-mas song. It will be released iTunes-only on 5th December, and 100% of the proceeds go to the RED Campaign to fight HIV/AIDS/Malaria in Africa. You can listen to it on AOL Music
here. Just scroll down and click. I <3 this song! Oh so festive and Brandon's voice sounds so yummy.
You recently slugged Green Day in the British press. Was what you said taken out of context?
It has caused a lot of unnecessary drama. I said it a long time ago; I don't know how it crept up. It wasn't taken out of context, really. The point was, if they're so punk rock, why don't they make their DVD in Washington, D.C., instead of in England with a bunch of English kids singing "I don't want to be an American idiot"? Do it in front of the White House or something.
I found this snip from the Rolling Stone article very amusing. I didn't even know they were feuding with Green Day but I have to say that answer is brilliant. Cheers!
In other news...
I'm finishing up watching the banquet from NYC. The pre-show on Speed channel was quite interesting. Melissa Rivers was doing the 'yellow carpet' show and I adored it. She has no clue about NASCAR whatsoever only dresses and who they are with. She almost had it out with Wendy [the girl from speed channel who knows her shit] and that looked messy. Mickey helped her out somewhat but she hated him, too. She put out Kasey on the carpet. She mocked him because he looks like a little kid and the fact that he had on a tag on his jacket [he wore Cavali *shocked*] and was asking around who has scissors. Jr's bit was funny. She said that on a pole she read that all the girls want to kiss you but all their Dad's want to shoot you with a gun off the porch. [it was something to that effect] Died laughing.
First off, poor Shrub. No. HAHAHA Shrub for screwing up your g/f's name with your bro's wife. Everyone mocked him on that. "We're the best of the last"? WTF? Kasey read from the prompter again. He cheeks were rosy red from being nervous. Hugs to Kasey. Public speaking is a bitch but you have to get over it. Junior's was short and sweet. He listed every sponsor on his car which was funny. Overall, it was boring and the JJ show. The most dramatic moment was the Talladega II incident. Junior is the most popular driver again. NYC looks better with Junior up there next year.
[edit] I forgot to add that during the show, they played an orchestra version of When You Were Young many times. The Killers getting props in NASCAR! Woot!
