I wasn't home last night to watch the race but I listened to it in the back office. I was on pins and needles last night hoping that Junior will make the chase. Actually, no. I was lying if I said that. I was playing the waiting game on when his engine was going to blow. Every time I heard "spin in turn 2!", "smoke on the backstretch!" and "wreck off turn.." [insert number] I stopped whatever I was doing in the office and listening to see if it was Junior. He started in 21st spot and ended up racing with the leaders. At one point, he was racing three wide with Gordo and Smoke until three laps to go.

As i'm looking at all the posts from the pit board, a fan pointed out that TEI had a total of 8 blown engines this year. They are tied with Mikey's team. Now that's funny.
And... Direct TV's NASCAR Hot pass, they interviewed Tony Jr he was about crying and said I'm not gonna say its sabotage.....then composed himself and said that kid drove his butt off and he's a champion in my book even if he never wins one.
At the end of the day, I'm actually glad he's going to Hendrick. At least his engines don't "blow up". Is it 2008 yet?
Never thought I was going to post a group Hendrick picture but I am. The reason why is because Junior is the only one not looking all cookie cutter like Casey, JJ and Gordo. [His shirt is not tucked in] Now you know Junior is driving on his terms.
