Okay so I called MSN Internet tech support regarding a question about a code that boosted my dial-up speed. Comcast is on the blink so I have back-up a la MSN. So I call them up. I used my cell just in case I gotta test the dial up and stuff. I was on hold for 55 minutes on my cell. I disconnected from the Internet and use the house phone and was connected less than a minute. I talked to this guy who was there less than a year he says and he doesn't have any clue what I'm talking about and transfer me to Windows tech support. I'm now talking to a woman who is asking me for my information and stuff. I tell her that I was talking to MSN and they sent me to you yada, yada, yada. After I tell her the story, she's like "Since you have media center, you will be on a call list and someone will call you. There is a fee." I'm like "Wait. You're telling me you are going to charge me a fee to get help using your program? You're kidding right?" I was just shocked that Microsoft has all this money selling their product to vendors [HP, Sony, etc] and still wants to rip the consumers! After my shock factor, I told her this: "Ummm. Okay. I'm going to hang up now. Have a good night." click. WTF!!!
