We can declare that today is national engine problem day. Everyone had some sort of problems. The first was our boy Junior. He went into the garage during first practice to change the entire rear end to help with the car. Then during second practice, he complains that the car is vibrating everywhere but the oil gauges are fine. He comes in and checks everything out. Finds out there is a problem with the lifter that pushes the rods up and down. Everyone is going crazy especially me. I get on the phone with Dad and tell his the horrible news.
I thinking to myself 'Didn't we leave TEI over this mess?! I thought we got away with engine problems. Don't tell me Junior is a jinx.' As SPEED Channel is talking, they are reporting that ALL HMS engines are having the same problem. WHAT?! Earlier, SPEED reported that Toyota was having the same problems with the lifters. So guess what? All of HMS changed engines in their cars and will start in the back for the Gatorade Duals tomorrow.
I won't be home to watch the race since I will be at work. Good luck Junior!!
