Day 3 wasn't up due to the fact that it was fucking hot outside. I ended up crashing on the couch until 4pm when we ate dinner and then head to the track.
Saturday we got up late around 7ish and didn't leave the condo until after 8am. Parked and literally ran to back to our seats just in time for the prayer. I missed driver intros but oh well. We sat on the start/finish line which are great seats! Watched everything and heard everything from my scanner. Junior had a rough day with his car. He finally knows what type of equipment he's own: shit. He dropped so many f-bombs like no tomorrow. He jumped on his pit crew and crew chief. I should expect some people getting fired on Monday. That team is messed up! I want changes, june!
Shrub won the race [blah] but I got pictures of him doing burnouts and getting the checkered flag.
Here's the
busch resultsSrub fails post race inspectionAfter that, we left to go to the condo cause it was hotter than a mofo and since the condo is just over the bridge, it was nice.
We went back at the track around 5. I wanted to go back sooner because the pits opened around 2 and had passes. Going to the track that late missed some opportunities to show dad alot of stuff because it was packed! Did get a photo op with dad which is nice. We have something to share as a father/ daughter experience. Got some photos of all the driver intro, Rudy Gullianni and others. Went back to the seat and enjoyed the race with the scanner tuned to Junior. Early in the race, Smoke and Denny Hamlin got together and wiped out both cars causing a number of cars going thru the grass and Junior getting hit from behind [we think the 43] and after that, all down hill from there. Car was just junk and I switched to listen to Martin. Kasey got into a wreck very very early on and managed a top 10. Martin had a shot to win but the car was plowing at the end and finished outside top 10. Jamie McMurray beat out Shrub by a good margin. I heard he cried. Hey, I rooted for Jamie Mac at then end so I was happy is was anyone but Hendrick.

Bass Pro extends contract at DEI and Martin. Nascar changed their name from NEXTEL to Sprint Cup.
Shrub questions his teammates at Hendrick. Sounds all to familiar with Vickers.
We got back on I-95 around noon and I crashed in the back seat. I woke up this morning with a sore throat and it's killing me. Came home around 5 and glad i'm back!

oh my god was it hot outside! I didn't do much shopping since there wasn't anything. The Toyota and Red Bull tents weren't there or wasn't open so I couldn't get things for the new car. They had a DUB version of the xB not a tC. We went to the Speed Stage and was on TV for NASCAR live at noon. We walked everywhere but it was so hot it felt like I was walking 10x more than was I was doing.
We sat on the start finish line for the Busch race but that ended when the rain came and washed out the racing. They open the gates at 7:30 am with the race starting at 9 am. I told them we need to be there at 8am. The cup qualifying was washed out with only 8 more cars to qualify. It sucked so bad because Boris Said could of won the pole and all those Camery's mad the race in the top 10! No lie I have pictures of the scoring pilon. Mikey made it if it didn't wash out. I told him my Toyota is faster than yours and he proved me wrong. His car moved! Sadly, he goes home but DJ stays.
Well, I'm tired and need to brush my teeth. Pray that it won't rain or not bad rain!!

We made it alive! We hit some rain on the way up on I-95 but all is well. Made it to Joey's mother's condo which has a nice view of Daytona Beach. Saw the track and traffic isn't bad. Saturday, forget it! It will be jam packed on International Blvd. Nothing really going on the track now. Just the suviener haulers all set up with fans buying stuff and practice.
News of note that i've heard:
Jr. might make an announcement this weekend that Pepsi/ Mountain Dew will sponsor him in 2008.
NASCAR might move the Daytona 500 as the season finale and switch with Homesetad.

Sometime Thursday I will be leaving with Dad and Joey to Daytona. Woot Woot! The weather is the same as it's been for a couple of years - rain! Please do the don't-rain-in-daytona dance for me. I know I'm going to spend some good dinero up there and with Toyota in the NASCAR biz, you know I'll find some good stuff for my car.
Last night I was looking up what's going on. So, here's a run down as of now. Junior will drive in the Busch series in his own car the #88 Navy. He kicked out Shane Huffman; Dunno the reasons. Tony Jr. is back on the box. RCR/DEI engine combo starts. Kasey to run a movie scheme. Um.. that's all I can remember. Oh Smoke and Kasey are running in the Busch race.

10 Questions with Junior I feel I need to buy a Killer shirt. Gotta show him some love.

Nothing exciting happend today. Well, maybe. Louis finally went into surgery today. Since the last update at 5pm, he was sleeping and still in lala land. He should be out tomorrow, Thursday the lastest.
Did I mention about my mini hubcap went MIA on my car? Mom discovered it Sunday when I was backing out to switch cars. I was wondering why she was looking at my car funny. It's the cap in the middle where the lug nuts are. I told Dad it was on my car when I left the store during lunch so it's somewhere. I'm searching the store's parking lot like a space cadet, looking at the roads for something. I come home for lunch and when I was about to leave, the cap was laying next to my tire where it fell off! Someone had to put it there. Who? Dunno. I gave it back to Mom so she can wash it [was dragged around a couple of times] and I tried to put it back on but the plastic yellow hub where it was holding is warped and won't fit. We're working on a plan.

Jayski reported that Junior might run a special paint scheme at Daytona.

Signs that Daytona is going to be awesome!
It started out on Friday when Mom and I went to Office Depot to look for a binder. When we walked in the door, I found no other than a Carl Edwards stand-up. On Sunday, Dad and I went to Home Depot and saw good ol' Tony. Then, that night I got the tickets to Daytona. I go to work the next day, I see Shrub on the door of the counting room! I took down the poster because I HATE HIM!! and took another poster and took a Sharpie and de-faced him. We have a bunch more in the store and none in my site. That's good cause they know where it will go, file G. This is a sign that Daytona is going to be awesome!!! That Dad is going to come and i'll be back for a third time. I get to see my boys! Horray!!!

I get to experience this with Dad and it's going to be amazing! Mom doesn't want to come because of all the walking and the heat. We'll call her with updates :)
